The biggest Polish trade fair in the sector
The installation fair in Poznań achieved outstanding results this year. The 2008 edition attracted 537 exhibitors from 21 countries, who displayed their offers in pavilions covering a total exhibition area of 31,000 m 2. We should also emphasise the impressive turnout of foreign exhibitors - an increase by 44 percent compared with 2006.
New trade offers and plenty of attractions
Specialist exhibitions provide a meeting place for experts, manufacturers, and distributors of leading brands. With a wide array of cutting edge products, they grasp the attention of many investors. Great interest was generated by numerous newly launched products, totalling 250 this year. Many of them made their world debut at the Poznań fair. But INSTALACJE offered more than that - for example a varied programme of events including expert conferences, spectacular shows or company presentations. One of the unique attractions of this year's edition was the "Fireplaces on Fire" project, organised for the first time. One of the pavilions was specially prepared to feature an interesting display where visitors could admire fireplaces with fire burning inside. Such eye-catching product presentation enabled fair guests to learn more about the features and advantages of the latest technological solutions, and appreciate the aesthetic charm of fireplaces. Additionally, a conference entitled "Environmental challenges for fireplaces 2008" was held in this special zone, focusing on the environmental aspects of fireplace production and use. The First Polish Fitters' Championships with a large number of installers presenting their skills was a thrilling event indeed. The winner drove away in a Volkswagen Caddy. Fair participants paid much attention to content rich conferences and seminars that addressed such issues as: installation techniques in low energy buildings, applying metal installation materials in open and closed systems, safe use of chimney, heating and ventilation systems, as well as modern technologies in network heat engineering. The four fair days saw various competitions and awards too. 14 companies received Gold Medals for their top quality products. Acanthus Aureus awards were presented for the best designed stands that facilitated direct communication with the customer.
Ministry of Infrastructure at the fair
Representatives of the Ministry took an active part in Poland's largest event for the installation industry. At the seminar focusing on installation techniques in low energy buildings Piotr Styczeń, Undersecretary of State, talked about the need for developing proper tools to facilitate heat energy management, such tools being important elements shaping the real estate market. During the meeting devoted to the latest technologies in network heat engineering, Deputy Minister emphasised that only good relations between heat energy producers, distributors and users can guarantee the most effective energy use.
